Any bride can expect to have mixed emotions on her wedding day – excitement, a little nervous, happy – all of these can ruin your wedding makeup. Follow these tips to survive the effects of these emotions.
Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water to remove the jitters. Do this while you are getting your hair done or being made up. Use a straw to avoid messing your makeup. However, remember to empty your bladder. You do not want to be looking for a toilet when you are about or while walking down the aisle or while exchanging vows. To avoid getting your dress wet, sit backward on the toilet.
Keep perspiration at bay. The excitement can get you to perspire more particularly if your dress is a little heavy. (Tip: Choose a lighter kind of fabric so it will make you feel cool.) Avoid sweaty underarms, thighs and palms by applying an effective anti-perspirant on your underarms; baby powder on your palms and a relief powder gel between your thighs to reduce chafing before wearing your gown.
Have a ready makeup kit. Ask a relative or friend to hold the kit. This should contain lipstick, lip balm, powder, lip brush, and blush on for retouching. Do not forget to bring blotters.
Stay fresh all throughout your wedding and keep wedding makeup looking fresh with these tips.
